End of summer catch up - Episode 16

Rather than one big topic today, I have a few random things on my mind.

Today we’re doing an end of summer catch up (and debate when the official end of summer even is) recapping my trip to Wyoming and chatting about other topics just as if we were on the phone or FaceTime so grab your favorite beverage and let’s get into it.

Wyoming Trip Recap

This summer, I had the chance to explore some of Wyoming's most iconic destinations, and it was nothing short of breathtaking.

Our journey took us to the stunning Grand Tetons, where we embarked on the Jenny Lake hike.

The views were absolutely worth every step (all 17,000 of them lol), with towering peaks and pine trees surrounding us.

Next, we ventured to Yellowstone, where Artist’s Point low-key left us speechless with its panoramic views of the canyon and waterfalls.

In Jackson Hole, we indulged in the local cuisine, dining at a couple of standout spots.

If you’re ever in town, I highly recommend stopping by the Local Steakhouse for a classic, hearty meal. If you’re in a seafood mood, The Bistro had great oysters and mussels!

Of course, no trip to Jackson Hole would be complete without sampling the local brews.

We made our way through Snake River Brewing Co., StillWest Brewing, and Roadhouse Brewing Co., each offering a unique atmosphere and delicious craft beers. honestly the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring.

To top off our Western adventure, we visited the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, a can’t-miss Jackson Hole institution, and caught a show at the Jackson Hole Rodeo.

Both experiences were quintessentially Western and added a fun twist to our trip, although I probably wouldn’t attend another rodeo in the future.

End of summer debate

As August wraps up, I find myself pondering the official end of summer.

Are you the type to start celebrating fall on September 1st, or do you wait until the official equinox on September 22nd?

Personally, I start feeling those fall vibes as soon as September hits, even if the weather hasn’t quite caught up yet because of the start of school and my birthday being September 3rd.

The earlier sunsets and cooler evenings definitely set the mood for autumn.

Etsy shop update

In other news, my Etsy shop has made a handful of sales! It's so rewarding to see the effort I've put into it paying off with my grand opening sale.

Seeing purchases come in has been motivating, and I’m excited to keep creating and sharing new products.

If you haven’t checked it out yet, now’s a great time to see what’s new at The Bold Bride!

Thoughts on Threads

Lately, I’ve been really enjoying Threads (come add me on there!)

It feels like a blend of Instagram and Twitter, bringing together the best of both worlds. I love seeing familiar faces from Instagram pop up on Threads—it’s like catching up with old friends in a new space.

I found myself drifting away from Twitter, so this platform has been a refreshing change. Have you tried it out yet?

Fall declutter

As fall approaches, I’m preparing to get into declutter mode.

There’s something about the change of seasons that makes me want to start fresh.

I’m in need of my semi-annual beauty switchover—swapping out my summer products and things that have expired for new products brands have sent that I still need to test. It feels good to clear out the old and make room for the new.

30th birthday plans

Lastly, I’m looking forward to some low-key birthday celebrations. I’m planning a casual gathering at a local brewery, which feels perfectly in line with the relaxed vibe I’m going for this year.

Plus, I’ll be taking some photos with Karya, which I’m super excited about. It’s always nice to capture these moments to look back on later.

Summary

That’s a wrap on this update! From summer adventures to fall plans, there’s a lot to look forward to as the seasons change. What are you most excited about for the last few weeks of summer? Let me know in the comments!
