Summer bucket list: have your best summer yet - Episode 7

Summer is officially here and if you’re looking for fun ideas and ways to fill your time, I’ve got some ideas for you. Some are as big as booking flights and others are little ways to have fun and make the most of the summer season.

So no matter where you’re tuning in from and whether you love the heat or want to hide in the AC, I’m here with a fun list of ideas that will be in no particular order of how to spend the next few months.

Create & consume

What Austen is creating this week: friendship bracelets for The Eras Tour which is SO SOON! (I used this bead kit from Amazon)

What Austen is consuming this week: House of the Dragon — they were not kidding around with that first episode back, what the heck??

Summer adventures

Summer is the perfect time to step out of your comfort zone and explore new places. Start by planning a trip—it can be as small as exploring a different section of your neighborhood or as big as booking a flight.

Think about going to see a movie in the park or a film at a drive-in theater. Don’t forget to have a beach day—whether it’s a sandy shore or a lakeside retreat, the beach offers a perfect escape from daily routines.

Local fun

Sometimes the best adventures are right in your backyard. Make it a goal to try a new restaurant in your area or a cuisine you wouldn’t normally eat. Plus, on super hot days where it’s no fun to be outside, pop into a local museum and check out a new exhibition.

Seasonal beauty

Enhance your summer vibe with a seasonal manicure featuring fruit designs, ombre, or neon colors, and experiment with a new makeup look or hairstyle to reflect the sunny, playful mood of summer.

Staying sane

Maintaining your routine amidst more travel and time off in the summer months can keep you grounded and motivated. Continue your workouts, dedicate time to work, and keep prioritizing your goals.

Change your scenery by working from a coffee shop once a week, which can spark creativity and productivity or allow yourself to take off one Friday to do something you enjoy

Everyday joys

Lastly, don’t forget to add a touch of summer to your day-to-day—switch up your body wash scent, drink flavors, and candle fragrances to infuse a bit of sunshine into your daily routine. And of course, indulge in a satisfying sweet treat like gelato or popsicles.

Summary

With this summer bucket list, you'll be set for a season filled with adventure, relaxation, and personal growth. Embrace these activities and make the most of every sunny day, creating unforgettable memories along the way.
