Spring 2025 beauty trends to know
According to Vogue, these are some of the standout beauty trends for spring 2025—and I’m loving most of them:
Pastel colors: Subtle pops of color are in! I love adding a hint of lilac or mint to the eyes or nails for spring.
Red light therapy: It’s trending, and I’m here for it. It helps reduce inflammation and boost collagen. I use the CurrentBody mask in 10-minute doses—just make sure to limit use before sun exposure.
Powder 2.0: Layering powder on top of cream blush.
The sculpt is back: From ice rollers to sculpting tools, we’re still loving de-puffing. I’ve been using the same ice roller since 2022!
Smudged eyeliner: TBD if I’m emotionally ready after recently rewatching Gossip Girl season 2.
Watercolor blush: This soft, diffused blush trend is stunning for spring. It gives that romantic, airbrushed effect.
Full body care: Skincare is expanding beyond the face. Arms, legs, chest, neck—it’s all getting the glow-up it deserves.
Monochrome eyelids: This one’s a yes for me. Using a single tone across your lid for that seamless, put-together look.
My go-to spring beauty swaps
As much as I love winter glam, spring calls for fresh, breathable textures and soft washes of color. Here are some of the seasonal swaps I make in my routine:
Heavy foundation → Skin tint
Skin tints give me coverage without the weight.
Foundation brush → Beauty sponge or hands
Everything blends more naturally with warmth or a damp sponge.
Black mascara → Brown mascara
Still defines the lashes, but looks softer in the daylight.
Matte complexion → Dewy finishes
I reach for hydrating primers, cream blushes, and radiant setting sprays.
Lipsticks → Lip plumpers or glosses
Delivers shine in one swipe! Lip glosses are perfect for spring.
Contouring → One-and-done blush
I love a taupey or mauvey cream blush that gives both color and shape.
Brow pencil → Tinted brow gel
Quick, minimal effort, and still gives that groomed look.
Berry lips → Peach and pink tones
The color palette lightens up with the season, and so does my lip routine.
Spring decluttering tips
Changing seasons is the perfect time to clean out your beauty collection. Here’s what I look for:
Expired or unused products: If it’s been a year and you haven’t touched it... it’s probably time to say goodbye.
Empty containers: Don’t let them clutter your space—toss or recycle.
Recycling programs: Sephora and Ulta both have beauty drop off programs, which is a great way to responsibly dispose of beauty waste.
How to get more out of your beauty routine
You don’t always need to buy something new to feel refreshed—sometimes it’s about using what you already have smarter. Here are a few ideas:
Keep a running list (even in your Notes app!) of products or techniques that worked or didn’t work for you. It'll help you shop smarter in the future.
Even for the basics like curling your hair watch tutorials on TikTok or YouTube—you never know what little trick might change your routine.
Extend product life by scooping out product instead of dipping fingers in, storing items out of direct sunlight, and shaking things like oil-based products before use.
Summary
Whether you're looking to lighten things up, add a little glow, or just shake up your routine, I hope you loved this episode.
