Create & consume:

What I’m creating this week: I did a vlog sharing what really happens at influencer events on YouTube and I filmed something top secret I’ll share more about soon

What I’m consuming this week: Ayame Sushi in Hoboken with Andrew for dinner on Saturday, we split some appetizers, 2 sushi rolls and a bowl of chicken udon noodles and it was so good.

Hosting Tips

Hosting can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be! Here are some ways to keep things manageable:

Prep ahead of time by handling what you can before guests arrive. Think pre-made desserts or chopping ingredients for dishes in advance.

Personal touches like small, thoughtful details such as personalized place cards or festive napkins show you care. Don’t over-stress; at the end of the day, it’s about being together.

No one will remember if everything was picture-perfect.

If you need inspiration for hosting prep, I’ve linked some of my favorite hosting essentials on LTK.

Holiday Decor

Are you team “tree up before Thanksgiving” or “no trees until December”? I’ve put our tree up early this year.

In smaller spaces, a slim tree or one focal area like the mantle or kitchen can work wonders.

Pro tip: Don’t splurge too much on decor that might not suit your next place if you’re a renter.

Anthropologie has the most adorable ornament options this year, from cocktail-themed ornaments to city-inspired designs.

Style Inspiration

What’s your holiday vibe? Here’s some style inspiration for both cozy and dressy occasions:

Cozy chic includes oversized sweaters, mini UGGs, corduroy skirts, velvet pants, and shearling accents.

Many of these pieces are easy to rent—check out my Nuuly code in the episode!

For festive and dressy occasions, try sequins, rich red and evergreen tones, lace details, bows in your hair, and faux fur pieces that bring instant holiday glam.

Makeup Trends

Holiday beauty is all about adding a little sparkle and shine.

Here’s what’s trending:

  • Bubblegum pink blush for a fresh, youthful glow

  • Glass-like skin for that dewy, radiant look

  • Matte brown eyeshadow for understated elegance

  • Frosty eyeshadow and cool-toned highlighter

  • That red lip, classic thing thing that you like (to quote Taylor)

Avoiding Burnout

The holidays are busy, but here’s how to protect your energy: Don’t overcommit.

I’ve learned one weeknight plan and one weekend plan are plenty.

Recharge by lighting a candle, curling up with a good book, or taking a long shower.

Take care of yourself by staying hydrated, getting your vaccines, and keeping ginger shots handy.

Use your vacation days; you earned them—enjoy them!

Dealing with Holiday Hardships

The holidays can be tough if you’re feeling lonely or overwhelmed.

Here’s what’s helped me: Give yourself space to zone out, binge a favorite show, or unplug from your phone.

Stay connected by scheduling virtual catch-ups with loved ones if you can’t see them in person. Ask for help; whether it’s from friends, family, or a professional, it’s okay to reach out.

In summary:

No matter how you celebrate, I hope you find moments of joy, connection, and peace this holiday season.
